Description

Vintage Turner Brass Works Blow Torch c.1940 w Wooden Handle. In excellent unrestored condition. Made in Sycamore Illinois; measures 10 1/2” tall.

This is a vintage TURNER BRASS WORKS blow torch made in Sycamore, IL. It still has a small section of the manufacturer’s label on the tank and still has the original wood handle. No missing parts that I can see. The torches were made to burn a variety of liquids such as gasoline, kerosene, alcohol. Turner made a quality torch with numerous variations and started production in the late 1800s. This model was produced in the 1940s and has a brass tank and pump handle. Brass polishes nicely but you would probably lose the manufacturer’s label. The torch stands about 10-1/2″ tall with an overall width of 7-1/2″ and is quite heavy. I have included a picture of every side including the bottom. There are people who still use these things, and if you have that in mind please note that all the gaskets and seals and pump leathers will need replacing.
