Description

Free form ceramic work by Raku artist Joyce Furney, owner/designer of The Clay Cellar studio in Manhattan, Kansas. 7.5″ diameter.

History:

Raku is an ancient decorative Japanese art but is not for food use. I have seen this design described as a moon over a field (but we like to think of it as a stylized fish). It is whatever you see. There is what could be a tiny chip on the edge of the moon, see photo, but could be just a result of the different techniques and textures used. Furney name and mark on the bottom.I try to describe my items as accurately as possible, but include pictures for additional detail. Please look at them before you bid. Thanks.I am very concerned about keeping my customers’ feedback comments good, so please feel free to contact me with any problems before submitting your feedback. I am including free standard shipping but we can arrange for expedited shipping and/or special services.

*Highly collectible.
